Wigmore LTC closed from Thursday 5th November
Following the news that England is going into a lockdown from tomorrow, Thursday 5 November, we regret to say that Wigmore will be closed as per Government rules. We hope to reopen on Wednesday 2 December.
We are sad that outdoor tennis is being restricted under the forthcoming lockdown. This means the club grounds will be locked up and there will be no access. Thanks to those members who took the trouble to write to their MPs and signed the various petitions.
The EGM to vote to approve spending on the clubhouse refurbishment takes place on Monday 16th November on Zoom. There will be another Zoom call the previous week for those members who may have questions regarding the refurbishment. Please check your emails for the details. If you haven’t returned your proxy form, please email it back as per the instructions.
Whilst we won’t be at the clubhouse from Thursday, nevertheless we would like to remind all members, guests and parents of junior members to respect social distancing whilst on club grounds when the club reopens. Please respect other members by not blocking paths and respect social distancing. As this lockdown demonstrates, it affects us all, especially the coaches and we don’t want Wigmore LTC to be the source of a local outbreak
